Pacific Science was formed in 1995 by Michael Lebbin
and Chris Conrad. If you would like more information about
Pacific Science, Inc., please feel free to contact any of
our offices.
Pacific Science has grown rapidly over the past five years
by selling equipment and services to businesses involved in the laboratory
field. That growth stems from the explosion of new biotechnology
firms and the corresponding need for an array of specialty
equipment like incubators, freezers, biological safety cabinets,
and even metal cassettes (designed by Pacific Science) to
hold bags or vials of specimen.
The Torrance firm sells laboratory equipment to industry giants
like Amgen Inc. and Novartis; research centers at UCLA,
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and other hospitals; and a host
of smaller firms hoping to develop the next great wonder drug.
"Biotech is advancing very rapidly, so there are always
opportunities for companies like ours to fill the needs that
arise when companies move into new areas," Lebbin said.
In May 2009, Air Liquide Healthcare America Corporation completed the acquisition of the assets of Pacific Science, Inc. Air Liquide and Pacific Science have strong cultures based on safety, quality, innovation and service that will allow our combined organization to provide better value to our customers.
