The LabGard™427 is an outstanding value!
- Least Expensive Exhausted Class II, B1 Biological
Cabinet to Operate. The LabGard™ 427 requires
less exhaust air, more than 50% less air, than any
other type of exhausted Class II biological safety
cabinet, YET, by virtue of its series orientated
HEPA filters, provides a total exhaust area in the
rear one-half of the cabinet that can permit an
increased, but judicious use, of flammable liquids
as required as an adjunct to microbial studies.
- Single Supply HEPA filter. The original NCI Type
B1 cabinet (i.e. NU-420) virtually required two
supply HEPA filters: One under the work surface
(as required by specifications to provide uncontaminated
positive pressure plenums for the re-circulated
air) and one over the work surface (to filter particulates
from the blower). The NU-427 by its unique and patented
dual all negative pressure rear duct design, eliminates
the need for two filters and places the positive
pressure contaminated supply plenum within a negative
pressure zone, even down to the HEPA filter interface
with the cabinet shell.
- All Stainless Steel Construction, of both the
external shell and all internal ducts and plenums,
means the cabinet's surfaces are chemical resistant
and easily cleaned and decontaminated for a long
life.
- Like all NuAire bench Class II Biological Safety
Cabinets, Ergonomic Advancements are Incorporated
into the LabGard™ NU-427. From a frameless
viewing window yielding an unobstructed view of
the work zone, to the use of indirectly diffused
cool white fluorescent lighting, soothing to the
eyes, so you work comfortably, safer and smarter.
- Microprocessor Driven Electronic Controls for
all essential functions of the cabinet including
lights, blowers, alarms and duplex outlets. The
microprocessor control system maintains an optimum
balance between the supply air system and the customer
supplied exhaust air system using dual thermistor
probes to measure the supply and exhaust air volumes.
The exhaust interlock system prevents operation
of the internal supply blower unless the exhaust
flow is sufficient to provide a minimum air barrier
(i.e. 100 FPM). Audible and visual alarms are provided.
